We are glad to welcome you to our church, which has been in this location for 132 years. We want this to be a place where people of all nations and backgrounds can meet with God through Jesus Christ. If you come to one of our services, on Sundays at 11am and 6.00pm, you will find some who have been coming regularly for many years and others who, like you, are visiting for the first time. Children are especially welcome on Sunday mornings, when we run a creche, Sunday school and Bible class.

This is an opportunity for believers in the church family to share their faith out in the public. We meet at the church for a short time of prayer, after which will walk together to a nearby public venue where we setup a temporary booth. Here we hand out pamphlets, engage people in public discourse and invite seekers to visit our church.
We take bread and wine to acknowledge Christ’s death, as He commanded us to do. We also pray for one another as a church family. This event is for for all baptised believers in the church family, and for other visiting believers.
We will sing together to praise God; there will usually be a short talk especially for the children; there will be a Bible-based talk, known as a sermon. The children and Sunday School classes leave after about 30minutes. We encourage people to stay and have tea and biscuits with us afterwards. This is your opportunity to ask questions, chat, and get to know each other. The meeting is open to anyone and everyone is welcome to join us. We try hard to include those who don’t usually come to church; those from overseas; those with children; those with special needs; those with disabilities.
The evening meeting is similar to the morning in that we pray, sing, read the Bible and learn from it. The evening meeting is focussed on deepening our knowledge and application of the Bible to our lives. Therefore we sometimes have times of discussion, we regularly pray together for the needs of the church and our world, and we share The Lord’s Supper (Communion) together on the first Sunday of each month.
On the fourth Tuesday of the month we generally meet in the side hall at the church to pray together instead of having our Homegroups. We start at 7.30pm and finish at 9pm. Other prayer meetings, weeks of prayer etc may be organised from time to time.
